4-year old Castrated Male Irish Setter


A 4 year old castrated male Irish Setter dog had an approximately 1.5 year history of seizures that were controlled with phenobarbital, potassium bromide and levetiracetam.  The seizures recently progressed with a frequency of approximately every other week. Additionally, a left sided head tilt and balance problems have developed in the past 2-3 days. On physical examination there was a marked head tilt to the left with no nystagmus and normal cranial nerve assessment.

Questions for discussion after reviewing images:

What are the prioritized differential diagnoses based on the MRI?

What are the recommendations regarding either further imaging/diagnostics or therapy, based on the MRI?

      I was able to view the video using both Google Chrome and Safari.
      It doesn’t seem to work with Internet Explorer.
