 Constance E. De Haan DVM, MA, DACVR

Previous Practice Owner at Animal Care Center of Sonoma County 1993 – 2008

Medical Director for VCA Animal Care Center of Sonoma County  2008 – 2013

Master’s Degree in Organizational Development at Sonoma State University 2013

Passions/interests:

Inspirational insights for new Radiologists entering the workforce:

This is an amazing time to be a veterinary radiologist with diverse and global opportunities.  The future with innovation and emerging technology is also incredibly exciting.

What is your favorite thing about Veterinary Radiology?

We have a challenging and ever changing case load  – there is always something new to learn.

What do you enjoy about your position with IDEXX?

First and foremost, I am so fortunate to work with a talented and dedicated group – specialists, specialist and customer support and administration.  Additionally, my role as medical director offers me the opportunity to make a significant and positive impact in my profession.

What tips would you like to share with Radiologists interested in Telemedicine?

Working outside of a practice setting offers us the ability to live where we want and create a different balance in our lives with work while remaining integrated within a collaborative and energetic team.  However, a strong clinical background is more important in the virtual setting as we strive to provide useful reports for our clients.

What other information would you like to highlight about our team?

Our team of radiologists is quite diverse with different training programs and clinical and academic experiences throughout the world. The learning conversations amongst the radiologists is quite rich as we share our varied perspectives, ultimately to the benefit of our clients and patients.
